Aotea College is a co-ed state secondary school in Porirua, Wellington New Zealand. Aotea College was founded in 1978.
The school does not have a full time principal after Tim Davies-Collies' resignation in late June 2011. John Huston is the current acting principal while the board seek a replacement. The School Newsletter Te Karere is published once a fortnight to keep families informed on school happenings.
Sport and cultural activities are a major part of Aotea College, students are encouraged to take at least one Winter sport and Summer sport. Aotea College also competes in the New Zealand National Secondary Schools Barbershop competition - most recently, the girls' chorus won 1st place in both the regional and the national competition in Wellington, 2008.
